Sleeping Cat Videos

Studies show that cats enter a deeper sleep after 10-30 minutes, when it is harder to wake them - similar to rapid eye movement (REM) sleep in humans. You may see your cat's eyes move from side to side and his/her muscles twitch. Some cats even make noises when they sleep.

Here a gorgeous sleeping cat has a long tongue poking out in this video and won't wake up, despite lots of tongue-wiggling!

...or adopt entertaining positions...

Cat owners often like to buy their cats fancy beds and get disappointed if their darling isn't interested. Cats like to choose their own beds, and may change beds every few weeks. It's best not to force your cat to sleep somewhere it doesn't want to, and possibly have a few sleeping spots available. At times your cat may want an elevated place to sleep or a hidden spot.
