Here's my personal story of how dreams DO come true. This is not just a story of how a simple (and fun) website, built by an "amateur", turned into a high-ranking, high-traffic, highly-profitable source of income - in under five months. It is a story about how the creation of this site has belped me to realize and achieve my dreams. In February 2008, my friend Amy forwarded me an article by Steve Pavlina about the negative aspects of jobs. He didn't have to tell me that! My children are 12 and 16, and I only returned to full-time work a year ago. For the previous 12 years, I had worked a range of part-time jobs interspersed with periods of unemployment. Unemployment gave me lots of time, but not the finances to do the things I wanted. Employment gave me the money, but not the time to do my own thing. Anyway returning to full-time employment was hard and Steve wrote about how his wife was contemplating getting a job. He listed lots of reasons why she shouldn't and why he shouldn't either. What, don't they eat or have electricity? Why don't they need to work? Steve then revealed how he earns thousands of dollars each month from his websites and directed me to a company called Site Build It! that taught him how to build his sites with no technical knowledge. Well, as keen as I've been to leave employment, I've tried numerous ways to earn a passive income, and all have been hugely disappointing, so I spent some time researching Site Build It! and the company behind it, Sitesell. I kept coming across stories of average people, many of whom had no experience building websites, who gave high praise to Sitesell and their Site Build It! program for helping them to build high-traffic, highly-profitable websites. Basically anyone with some passion and interest in a subject can be taught to build their own profitable Internet business. Here are some of the case studies that impressed me so much. I feel quite hooked actually. It's no problem making the time to work on it, because I'm willingly grabbing every moment I can. I have a direction and feel confident that I will be leaving employment soon, and spending more time with my cats! Well it's now a few months later, and my website is at the point you see here, and I'm earning an income. And I'm earning income, while I'm at the beach or taking my daughter to her sporting commitments. Amy's email proved to be a turning point in my life. You don't need any technical knowledge to build a profitable website because you can build the site through simple building blocks and monitor every aspect of traffic through a easy-to-follow control center. Site Build It! teaches you how to do this through the use of video tutorials and provides all the tools and support you'll need along the way. Oh, and they host your site too, but that's the least they do. There are two ways my site makes money: 1. Google Ads - I earn money when people click on an ad that appears on my site. 2. Affiliate Marketing - I provide content and make suggestions about where to buy quality products. If a visitor clicks over from my site to my affiliate (partner merchant), I earn a commission (while the customer doesn't pay any extra for the product). Everything is fully explained and easy to do. The underlying philsophy is to rank high in the search engines for keywords that are in high demand and consequently generate lots of traffic to my site and lots of clicks on the ads and clicthroughs to my affiliates.
